Pudsey's fashion fix

Burberry; Tom Ford; Alexander McQueen; Giles; Gucci; Henry Holland

We all know Pudsey bear as the smiling yellow bundle of kindness with the trademark polka dot bandage protecting that poor wounded eye of his. Being the face of Children In Need, he's an icon and a savior for less fortunate children all over the UK but during the 27 years he has been alive, does anybody else not thing he should enliven his look a little bit? He must earn a bit of money himself to invest in a new bandage, perhaps in fetching Missoni stripes or Balenciaga florals.

Well we can now be put at ease because Selfridges are playing host to BBC Children in Need's 2012 Designer Pudsey Collection where the biggest names in fashion have created their own distinctive version of the beloved bear. It's difficult to decide which one is my favourite. Is it the miniature Burberry mac and umbrella, the dapper Paul Smith suit, countrified Pudsey complete with riding hat, or the space-loving patriotic one sat with a cheeky smile? Whichever, my first reaction was this is amazing and that's still how I feel now. Seriously, I don't think you can ever be too old for teddies. Especially teddies with with their very own Mulberry bag...
