Apart from Rafael Nadal's defeat against Lukas Rosol (a player ranked 100 who appeared from the midst of the unknown and played as though he was a full time pro on par with Novak Djokovic) which was gobsmackingly astonishing and tear triggeringly disappointing, the fourth day of Wimbledon was a pleasure to be a part of, even if it did mean queuing from before seven in the morning.
and don't worry, Rafa, you will always be the best to me xoxo
My day (all of which happened under scorching sunshine, blue skies, and a real sense of summer) included...
half of Fernando Verdasco verses Grega Zemlja (The Spaniard ended up winning 76 76 36 63),
Britain's Laura Robson and Heather Watson playing against Sabine Lisicki and Su-Wei Hsieh- which unfortunately they lost but together they produced many brutal shots, winning points with great force, which was both pleasing and sweet to see,
the remainder of Andy Murray's victory against Croatia's Ivo Karlovic on the screen opposite Henman Hill/Murray Mount,
Serena and Venus Williams completely destroying Vesna Dolonc and Olga Savchuk 60 63,
all before heading back to the hill to watch the rest of the Nadal Rosol match.
Here are some photographs
incredibly envious of you! must have been great to see Nadal in person, eh? ;)
