With that in mind, it is no wonder why Tim Walker is as influential as he is. Photographing shoots for British, French, Italian and American Vogue month and after month, the British photographer's work is currently up in London's Somerset House as part of the exhibition, 'Tim Walker: Story Teller', for you all to admire. I headed there yesterday afternoon and amongst the beauteous poses of Lily Donaldson, Frida Gustavsson, Scarlett Johansson and Lindsey Wixon and the portraits of Alexander McQueen and the cast of Monty Python are the life-size weird and wonderful props used in past shoots. Whether they are waving in an over-intimidating manner from a distance or hanging dauntingly from the ceiling, their presence is an insightful look into what goes in to constructing an entrancing photoshoot.
