Christmas the (sort of) Italian way

Like previously mentioned, Christmas-themed posts are probably going to be ruling this site over the next few weeks and that's something I cannot restrain myself from doing. While in the moment, we might as well embrace it. After doing a post on how the female can dazzle in the festive light, it got me thinking how I can incorporate the male- especially as they are most likely to be ones that shy away from the attention when it comes to clothing. And then the first thing that sprung to mind without deliberation was Dolce and Gabbana's autumn winter collection. Although inspired by Sicilian baroque and very much a homage to the Italian culture and beauty, when looking at it from a December point of view, it conjures up images of a traditional scene- affluent, luxurious and classy with the elaborate gold embellishments like that of elegant decorations. What's extra irresistible about Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's winter installment is how the men and women's collections are equally resplendent, creating the perfect him and her outfits. Sure, it's way out of my price-zone but I imagine that ditching the cheesy sweater for an embroidered Jacquard dress or turning up to a Christmas party in a bejeweled headband would go down a treat.
