I don't know many people who don't like Zooey Deschanel. Her infectiously bubbly personality, pretty appearance and ability to sing is what makes males go 'oooo' and females go 'ahhh (I want to be her).' Her alter ego Jess Day is just as lovable. I see a friend in her just like I do the rest of the 'New Girl' crew and I am so glad they are back in my life (Tuesdays, 9 o clock, E4). Don't you just love television shows that you could watch all day and not get bored? That act as a much needed hug when you've had a really crap day and warm up your heart and make you forget all your troubles and appreciate life? 'New Girl' is like that for me...to the extent where I've had dreams involving weird encounters with Nick Miller and turned up to my first day at university to find out I share my accommodation with Schmidt.
Why am I telling you this? Well like with Jess and co, She & Him are also back in our lives with 'Never Wanted Your Love'- a song that brings nearly as much pleasure as this. My love for Zooey grew more through her pairing up with M.Ward. They complement each other like daisies and sunflowers. Zooey being the dainty, child-like innocence of the daisies and M.Ward the cheerful, optimism of the sunflowers. On their own they make me happy but together? REALLY happy.
