model love: Bonnie Chen

Let's take a moment to appreciate the pleasantness of this outfit, worn by the Chinese model whilst off duty at Milan fashion week. Maybe it's the ombre affect of the tweed jacket and how it descends down to the gleaming yellow maxi which prances and sways with each step. Maybe it's the brown floppy hat and how it contributes flawlessly to a look that's so chic and elegant. Maybe it's the colour coordination and how said hat matches the belt and the satchel accompanies the skirt. Or maybe it's her smile and how that combined with the outfit is like a ray of sunshine filling us with warmth. Whatever it is, I'm in love.

midweek fun

source / source
Unfortunately I do not speak from experience but I imagine dashing from show to show during fashion month can get tiring, especially when you're constantly feeling the pressure to look your most stylish whilst surrounded by beautiful models and knowledgeable people within the fashion world. That's why incorporating character (literally) into an outfit can immediately lift those stressful spirits and make street style photographers and style observers smile.
I am particularly loving Cara Delevigne in head to toe Jeremy Scott (do you think she's a Simpsons fan?) and the House Of Holland t-shirt dress which, as Susie Bubble observed, is very reminiscent of Super Mario.

Feeling inspired, I pulled my Mickey Mouse tee (formally a way too big jumper brought from Beyond Retro) out of my wardrobe and 'posed' for a cheesy pic.

the human bee

Frida Gustavsson, street style queen. Creating a buzz amongst fashion lovers as she walks through busy cities, collecting fashionable clothing and accessories, producing inspirational outfits.

Here's a daily drool for you all! I adore this outfit because it mixes elegance with attitude, it's colour coordinated but not too thought through, and the bright pop of yellow instantly captures attention.

Inspiración

Whether it's clashing, whether it's vibrantly striped (and paired with lethal accessories), or whether it's bold, animated and Prada, these guys sure know how to rock the prints and enliven a lacklustre Saturday afternoon like the one I experienced today. (And street style photographers Tommy Ton and the Sartorialist sure know how to capture them well)
